In the world of traditional Japanese calligraphy, every stroke tells a story, and every shade of ink holds meaning. At SOUSHU DESIGN, I honor the spirit of calligraphy while incorporating a contemporary sensibility, creating works of art that transcend decor. 伝統的な日本の書道の世界では、すべての筆の動きが物語を語り、すべての墨の濃淡が意味を持っています。SOUSYU DESIGNでは、書道の精神を尊重しながら、現代的な感性を取り入れ、装飾を超えたアート作品を創り出しています。これらの作品は単なる視覚的な要素ではなく、作品が存在する空間とそれを体験する人々の生活を豊かにすることを意図して作られています。
Born in 1963 in Iizuka City, Fukuoka, I was shaped by the unique backdrop of a region at the forefront of Japan’s industrial revolution. Growing up, I witnessed the rise and fall of fortunes, the tension between tradition and modernity, and the profound human connections that form the fabric of a community. These contrasting forces—prosperity and decline, tradition and innovation, individual and collective identity—instilled in me a deep understanding of time, legacy, and the pursuit of personal excellence. It is this very understanding that informs my approach to calligraphy and drives my passion for capturing the human experience through art.
My calligraphy is more than ink on paper. It reflects the human spirit and embodies the complexity and depth I witnessed growing up. As I blend the timelessness of tradition with the innovation of contemporary life, my work transcends the canvas to touch the soul. I believe that true art has the power to transform spaces and elevate the human experience, much like the forces that shaped my hometown. When you bring one of my works into your home, you are not simply acquiring a piece of art—you are inviting a timeless conversation between the past and the future, between yourself and something greater.
1963年、福岡県飯塚市に生まれ、私は日本の産業革命の最前線に位置する地域の独特な背景に影響を受けました。成長する中で、繁栄と没落、伝統と現代性の緊張、そして地域社会を構成する深い人間関係を目の当たりにしました。これらの対照的な力－繁栄と衰退、伝統と革新、個人と集団のアイデンティティ―は、時間、遺産、そして個人的な卓越性の追求についての深い理解を私にもたらしました。この理解こそが、私の書道へのアプローチを形作り、人間経験をアートを通じて表現する情熱を駆り立てています。
私の書道は単なる紙に描かれたインクではありません。それは人間の精神を映し出し、私が育つ中で目にした複雑さと深さを体現しています。伝統の時を超えた永続性と現代生活の革新を融合させることで、私の作品はキャンバスを超えて魂に触れるものとなります。私は、真のアートは空間を変革し、人間の経験を高める力を持っていると信じています。それは、私の故郷を形作った力と同様です。私の作品を家に迎えるとき、単なるアートを手に入れるのではなく、過去と未来、そして自分自身と何かより大きな存在との間の時を超えた対話を招いているのです。
